SpriteDX — Feature Freeze (Freeze-1)

We are entering Feature Freeze.

This means we are temporarily stopping all new features and focusing only on what is required to turn SpriteDX into a product people can pay for and trust.

Goal:
Close the money loop and make SpriteDX a real, reliable asset service.

What Feature Freeze means

During Freeze-1 we will only work on:

MUST-HAVE before charging money

  • Cloud asset storage

    • Every generated image is saved server-side

    • Tied to the user account

    • Downloadable at any time

  • Reference image upload

    • Users can bring their own characters or templates

    • Used as generation input

  • Generation history

    • A simple list or gallery of past generations

    • Thumbnails + download links

  • Credit-based billing

    • Stripe → credits → generation → deduction → block when empty
  • Honest UI

    • Remove File / Project menus

    • Remove dead or non-functional buttons

    • No UI that implies features that don’t exist

  • Clear data ownership

    • Users know their assets are stored and safe

    • Free vs paid retention handled server-side

Explicitly out of scope for Freeze-1

These are paused until SpriteDX is proven:

  • Multiple pipelines (pets, cars, houses, etc)

  • Pipeline editing tools

  • Custom pipeline listings

  • Marketplaces, sharing, or community

  • Machi or world-building features

  • Complex project/file systems

Retention policy

  • Free users: assets auto-deleted after X days or X items

  • Paid users: assets retained long-term

  • Policy documented in Terms

Definition of success

Freeze-1 is done when:

A stranger can:

  • Upload or prompt

  • Generate assets

  • See them saved

  • Download them

  • Run out of credits

  • Pay to continue

With no broken flows and no fake features.

Wish me luck!
