SOUP - Concept Arts

Generated some concept arts for the SOUP project.

The visual fidelity of these pixel arts are surreal. The cinematic presentation and composition as well. It is almost to the point where we should make our SOUP on top of it rather than build trees from ground up as a simulation.

The basic idea of Machi project is to create semantic tile maps that will then be fed into generative AI to render it-kinda similar to how neural rendering works. So, if we are able to create contours of the trees and platforms, perhaps we can feed that into gen AI and get high fidelity images out.

The semantic map is really useful though since we can alter that semantic map similarly to how players dig in Minecraft or Terrarium, then we can feed things into gen AI to re-render things.

Next step: I should read up on Semantic Voxel Diffusion for Single Image Tree Reconstruction.

Machi - Concept Arts

Generated some concept arts for the city of Lael. Some lessons: What I noticed was that concept arts Midjourney generates is beyond anything I can create on my own. I might as well use it to the advantage. Side scrolling view looks great but isomet...
