# Sprute v 2.0 — Comfy Workflow for Animating 8 directional characters

Continuing from previous research posts on using SCAIL 2 for 8-directional character animation.

There is non trivial complexity but most of it has to do with laying out the character sheets and cutting them.

(You can download this WEBP file and drag and drop it into ComfyUI to load the workflow.

I couldn't get animated webp to list 8 characters in a horizontal sheet. Perhaps I can work on custom nodes for it.

**Analysis**:

* Comfy workflow works pretty well.

* The limb getting slightly longer is an artifact we want to fix in the future rounds but so far satisfactory.

* We used SCAIL 2 in this experiment but I believe similar method can be used for Seedance 2.0 as we've seen before.

**Next Steps**:

*   Test SCAIL2 on Replicate

* Wire it up into Sprute for 2.0 release.
